Viewing of Projects

There are two ways to view projects in Masterplan. The default and most common one is the Gantt view.

Highlight project: When you have many projects, it can be hard to find the one you’re looking for. Simply type part of the project name, and any matching projects will be highlighted in the Gantt view.

Zoom: Use the magnifying glass or the zoom range list to adjust the timeline. You can zoom in and out at six levels: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 1.5 years, and 2 years.

View date: Navigate to any date by selecting it in the date picker or by using the arrows on the right. Click “Today” to jump back to the current date.

Display mode: Click the gear icon on the right to change the display mode. You can choose between Default, Compressed - Drilling Crews, Compressed - Intervention Crews, or toggle dependencies on/off. This helps you clean up the view and make it easier to read. You can assign projects to rigs here - assignments are based on rig slots, and only visible projects can be assigned.

• Compressed - Drilling Crews: Shows projects and placeholders assigned to rigs and rig campaign crews. One timeline per rig. Dependencies and filters are hidden to reduce noise. You can filter by rig for easier navigation.
• Compressed - Intervention Crews: Shows projects and placeholders assigned to intervention campaigns and crews, following the same logic as above.

Filters: Click here to apply or remove filters for location, crew, and category.

Fullscreen: Click here to open the Masterplan in fullscreen mode, with all features still available.

The other way to view projects is the list view. The list view only displays assigned projects and placeholders.

Click the list view icon here:

Search projects: Search by typing the project name, similar to “Highlight project” in the Gantt view.

Start date: Choose which project start date you want the list to begin from. The list will sort projects from oldest to newest.

Location: Filter by one or more locations.

Crew: Filter by crew.

Category: Filter by project category.

Columns: Choose which columns to display and adjust their order by dragging and dropping.

Pre-set views: After applying filters or display settings, you can save the configuration as a pre-set view for quick access later.

Sort: Sort the list by any column to organize the view in a way that suits you best.
