# The Different Timeplan Modes

Under **Timeplan, **at the top, there is a window called "Modes" with a dropdown menu. Here you have four modes: Design, Planning, Operations and Actionplan. Some actions are specific to a particular mode, while others can be performed in multiple modes. Let's get an overview:

###### Design
In Design mode, you can:
* Create and edit events
* Create and edit phases
* Create and edit tasks (procedures)
* Create and edit activities
* Edit phase code, status, type, and wellbore

###### Planning
Planning mode is used for estimating activities. In Planning mode, you can:
* Create and edit tasks (procedures)
* Create and edit activities
* Include P10, AFE, and P90 times on the task level
* Include DSV, planned depth, whether it's on the critical path, and whether the activity should be omitted on the activity level

###### Operations
Operations mode is used to track actual work time and delays. These values can only be included when the activity status is active. In Operations mode, you can:
* Create and edit tasks (procedures)
* Create and edit activities
* Edit DSV, planned depth, whether it's on the critical path, and whether the activity should be omitted on the activity level

###### Actionplan
Actionplan mode provides an overview of planned vs. actual results. In Actionplan mode, you can:
* Create and edit tasks (procedures)
* Create and edit activities
* Edit DSV, whether it's on the critical path, whether the activity is repeatable, the operational status, and whether to omit the activity on the activity level
