Open/ RMS Release Notes 3.15

Release 3.15 is now here, with some new features and bug fixes for you. Here’s whats new:

New Features


AkerBP: Implemented New Logic Regarding Modes


A new logic has been incorporated for AkerBP concerning Timeplan Modes. We've adopted the same logic as the Keystone Standard:

  • If there is no actual time on the timeplan, the “Planning” mode will open upon entering the timeplan.
  • If there is actual time on the timeplan, the “Operations” mode will open upon entering the timeplan.




Previously, if you were sent a link but weren't logged in from before, you would land on the report screen instead of where the link was intended to take you. This issue has been fixed, ensuring you always land where the link is supposed to take you.


Input and Report Parameters Preview/ PDF Export


We've corrected how the input and report parameters appear in the preview/PDF export:



Filtering in “All timeplans”


The “All Timeplans” page can be extensive. Therefore, we've adjusted the filtering to, by default, not show completed timeplans. Initially, you'll see draft, planned, and active timeplans. You can easily adjust the filter settings.



Tooltips for Activities Indicating If They Are Contingency or Optinal


Feedback from users stated that the sum of P10, AFE, P90 and DSV can lead to confusion, the reasoning being that the total shows all types while the calculated end time are based only on default critical path activities. Therefore we created tooltips for P10, AFE, P90 and DSV total time saying:


  • “Sum includes all types (default, contingency, discovery and option)



We also created a tooltip for the end time saying:


  • “End time inludes default activities on critical path only”



Support and User Information


The live support-chat symbol has been redesigned for better intuitiveness. Additionally, two new buttons have been added to our helpdesk. To access them, click your initials in the top right corner:

Remove “Add from library” Functionality in Procedures


After dialogue, we've decided to remove the “Add from Library” functionality, as it was not being utilized and caused confusion.



Bug Fixes


Here are some of the bugs addressed and fixed in this release:


  • Copying/add from: Correct content is now copied across.
  • Issue where user-updated operational status for Activity in Execution View was not reflected on the report view page has been resolved.
  • Decimal format issue with too many numbers after the decimal in some cases has been fixed.
  • The well name was missing in the PDF-preview but has been restored.
  • Issue where right-clicking on the tab and selecting “duplicate tab” only showed codes has been fixed.
