Open/ RMS Release Notes 3.14
This release introduces enhancements aimed at improving functionality and user experience across multiple features. Changes include:
- Uniform AFE Distribution: AFE distribution logic has been refined to accurately calculate "Actual vs AFE" when all activities within a task have a DSV time of 0.
- **Responsible Field: **The responsible field has been moved.
- Improved Description and Supplementary Information Fields: User interface enhancements for Description and Supplementary Information fields provide a more seamless experience, including default box height adjustments and responsive behavior.
- **Performance Enhancements in Quick Edit Mode: **Several optimizations have been implemented to streamline Quick Edit mode for Procedures, including loading indicator improvements and efficient display of step data.
- Default DSV Time Set to 0: When adding new activities in Timeplan, the DSV time will now default to zero, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Additionally, this release addresses several bug fixes, including issues with activity re-ordering, PDF downloads, and status changes without signatures.
Uniform AFE Distribution When all Activities have DSV time = 0
In this release, we've changed the AFE distribution logic, providing a more accurate representation in the "Actual vs AFE" calculation when all activities within a task have a DSV time of 0.
Feature Details:
Uniform Distribution Logic: The AFE distribution logic has been extended to handle scenarios where all activities within a task have DSV time set to 0. In such cases, the AFE time, along with P10 and P90 time, will now be evenly spread across the task's activities.
Comprehensive Calculation: Previously, when DSV time was uniformly set to 0 for all activities within a task, the AFE distribution logic didn't take effect, leading to inaccuracies in the "Actual vs AFE" calculation. With this enhancement, the AFE distribution ensures a more comprehensive and reliable calculation.
Moved Responsible Field and Unselect Option
We've refined the interface to enhance user experience with the Responsible field.
Here are the updates:
Relocation of Responsible Field: The Responsible field has been relocated from its previous position underneath Step Details to a more organized space within the "+ Add Field" dropdown. This adjustment simplifies the interface and ensures a smoother navigation experience.
Unselect Option for Responsible: Now, if you've selected a Responsible and wish to remove them, you can easily do so. We have introduced a option to unselect the Responsible.
Enhanced Description and Supplementary Information Fields
In our latest update, we've refined the user interface for Description and Supplementary Information fields to provide a more seamless and user-friendly experience.
Description Box:
We have set the default box height to 100 pixels.
Supplementary Information Box:
- Similar to the Description box, the default height for the Supplementary Information box has been set to 100 pixels for a consistent user interface.
- The Supplementary Information box is now also responsive, dynamically expanding when your content surpasses the initial 100-pixel height.
Enhanced Performance in Quick Edit Mode for Procedures
In response to identified performance issues in Quick Edit mode for Procedures, we've implemented several optimizations to enhance your experience. Here are the key improvements:
Loading Indicator for 'Quick Edit Exit' Button:
- To address the initial loading time in Quick Edit mode, we have disabled the 'Exit Quick Edit' button while the page is loading.
Streamlined Step Actions:
- 'Save' and 'Cancel' step actions are now hidden while exiting Quick Edit mode.
Efficient Display of Step Data:
- Step data is now displayed in the form more efficiently, without any noticeable delay.
Optimized State Updates on ClickOut:
- We've updated the state change mechanism during Quick Edit mode. Now, the state will only be updated upon clicking outside of a field, eliminating the need for constant updates during typing.
Default DSV Time Set to 0 When Adding New Activities
With this update, when adding a new activity in Timeplan, whether it's done manually or via a procedure template or Timeplanner template, the DSV time will now be automatically set to zero.
Bug Fixes
Activity Re-ordering with Onshore/Offshore Status:
- We fixed an issue where users were unable to re-order activities within a procedure when onshore/offshore statuses were assigned. You can now re-order activities, ensuring a smoother workflow in procedures.
Error Code 500 During PDF Download:
- We resolved a bug that caused users to encounter an error code 500 when attempting to download the PDF version of the procedure. PDF downloads should now proceed without any issues.
User could move Procedure to Final Approved without signature:
- We resolved a bug where the user could change the status from Offshore Draft to Final Approved without signatures.
