## Meta Tags

We have introduced a new meta tagging system in the Masterplan to improve visual clarity and categorization of projects, placeholders, notes, and drill stops based on department or other criteria.

#### Managing Tag Groups and Tags

* A new admin page is available for managing tag groups and tags (accessible to editors only).
* You can:
    * Create, update, and delete tag groups.
    * Create, update, and delete tags within each group.
    * Each tag includes a title and a unique color per group.
* Deleting a tag group also deletes all its associated tags.

#### Assigning Tags to Items

* A new “Tags” tab is added to projects, placeholders, notes, and drill stops.
* Tags can be assigned per group — only one tag per group.
* Tags are optional and can be changed or removed.
* Deleted tags or tag groups are automatically unassigned from all items.
* Tag assignments and updates are tracked in the project history.
* Viewers can see all assigned tags.

This feature supports both the main Masterplan and all drafts.

#### Color Coding by Tag Group

* You can select a tag group to color the Masterplan by, making it easier to distinguish projects by department or other categories.
* The default coloring remains based on the selected crew.
* The legend updates automatically to reflect the selected tag group.
* Items without a tag in the selected group are marked as “Not tagged.”
