Masterplan Release Notes 2.11

Release 2.11 focuses on improved crew management and planning in Masterplan, along with UI enhancements and several usability updates. You can now manage crews, define their availability, analyse utilisation, and benefit from clearer tooltips and updated filtering logic.

New Features and Fixes

UI Improvements

Our designer has reviewed Masterplan and introduced several UI improvements, including increased spacing, wider layouts, button refinements, and general design clean-up.

Create and Edit Crews

Admin users can now create, edit, and assign crews:

  • A new Crews tab has been added to the Admin page.

  • Crews are listed alphabetically.
  • A crew consists of:
    • Title (mandatory)
    • Color
    • Category (optional: Rig Operations or Interventions)
  • Admins can delete crews that are not assigned to any project or placeholder.

  • Existing crews can be updated (title and color), but category cannot be changed.
  • Maintenance crew is not listed, since it cannot be assigned to notes or drill stops.
  • An Admin button has been added to the account menu to make the section easier to find.
  • Manually created crews can be added to projects/placeholders as before.
  • The system determines whether a projects crew is rig operations or interventions based on category when sending phases to Safran.
  • Any color can be chosen when creating a crew, even if it is already in use.

Compressed View logic has been updated:

  • All crews with category Drill will appear under Drilling Crews.
  • All crews with category INV will appear under INV Crews.

Managing Crew and Available Dates

You can define crew availability to plan work schedules more accurately.

In the Crew tab you will find:

  • List of crews created in the admin panel
  • Crew legend
  • Zoom in/out
  • Day navigation
  • Full-screen mode

Admins can create availability entries for a crew, consisting of:

  • Start date
  • Duration

Availability entries can be edited and deleted.

Viewers can see availability but cannot modify it.

Scheduling warnings:

  • When scheduling outside available days, you will be notified.
  • A notification is shown at the top of the notification list.

  • Clicking the notification navigates you to the Masterplan.
  • Warnings appear in:
    • Crew available date create/edit form
    • Crew available dates deletion confirmation
    • Project/placeholder create/edit form
  • The system dynamically calculates if the selected crew, duration, or start date will leave any project/placeholder without available days.
  • A double confirmation is required when actions may lead to missing crew availability.

Changes to Category Architecture

Updates to how categories and crews work:

  • Crews are now independent of categories.
  • The option to select a category for a crew has been removed.
  • Any crew can now be assigned to any project or placeholder.
  • Category selection for projects/placeholders depends on location:
    • North, South, Rig (COSL), LWI: Rig Operations + Interventions
    • Topside: Hookup
    • Flowline: Flowline

The selected category determines:

  • Whether the project/placeholder appears in Compressed View
  • Whether it contains an INV tab
  • Whether it is sent to Safran

View Crew Utilisation

A new Statistics tab has been added to Masterplan. Here you can apply date ranges and analyze crew utilisation across the field.

Added POB to Project & Phase Tooltip

POB is now shown when hovering over a project or phase in the Masterplan.

Added Status to Tooltip on Intervention Projects

The status of an intervention project is visible on hover.

Tooltip on Unscheduled Projects

Unscheduled projects display a tooltip showing:

  • Slot
  • Title
  • Start date

This makes it easier to see full information when titles are long.

INV Projects: Set Default Status

New intervention projects default to “Not started” instead of having an empty status.

Updated Legend

The legend has been updated to more clearly distinguish placeholders and projects connected to Wellcom.

Filter for Unscheduled Projects

Unscheduled projects older than 3 months are now filtered out (previously 12 months).

Default Legend

The default legend only shows crews that are active on projects for the selected field.

Request Access

When requesting access, you will now only see rigs that are active in the Masterplan.

Add New General Slot to Statfjord Field

The following new slots have been added:

  • Statfjord A: A-77
  • Statfjord B: B-77
  • Statfjord C: C-77

These work the same way as A-99, B-99, and C-99.

We hope you are pleased with these updates. If you have any questions, experience any issues, or have suggestions for improvements, we would be happy to hear from you.
