# Masterplan Release Notes 2.10

This release brings important updates to Masterplan, including the new Rig Scheduler for high-level well planning, improved well assignment options, extended project timeframes, and support for the Gullfaks field. Here's what's new:


## New Features and Fixes


### Gullfaks Field Added

**The Gullfaks field has been added to Masterplan, along with the following rigs:**

* Gullfaks A
* Gullfaks B
* Gullfaks C
* Gullfaks Subsea

Users with access can now assign projects to this field.

### Rig Scheduler

This release introduces a major new feature: the Rig Scheduler. It has its own tab in the Masterplan, and allows you to view all planned wells across rigs you have access to, making it easier to analyze and manage high-level planning.The timeline is calculated like this: 
* The well start date is set to the start date of the earliest project assigned to that well.
* The well end date** **is set to the end date of the latest project assigned to that well.
* Gaps between projects (if any) are ignored in the timeline.

**Other functionality:**

* Filter wells by fields and rigs.
* Zoom to view timeframes of 1 year, 2 years, and 4 years.
* A legend shows well types, imported from Wellcom.
* View well details such as:
    * Well name
    * Well type
    * Well start date
    * Well end date
At this stage, editing wells directly in Rig Scheduler is not available. The interface is the same whether you're a viewer or an editor.

### Well Assignment

You can now assign wells to placeholders and projects.
* The well field is optional, and includes a search function for easier selection.
* This is only available for placeholders and projects created in Masterplan, not for those imported from Wellcom.

### Wells on Projects from Wellcom

* Wells are now visible on projects imported from Wellcom. Unlike Masterplan-created projects and placeholders, the well cannot be changed for imported projects.

### Updated Timeframe for Projects

The default timeframe for projects has been updated:
* Previously: –6 months / +36 months
* Now: –12 months / +60 months
