Handling Unexecuted Procedures: Abandon Procedure

In some cases, procedures are created but not executed for various reasons. You cannot simply remove them in Execution View, but here’s the correct process for handling them:

  1. If the procedure is in "Offshore Draft" status, you first need to get it signed and set to "Final Approved" in order to proceed.

  1. Once the procedure is set to "Final Approved", you need to start it by clicking "Start Execution."

  1. This will unlock the option to abandon it. To do this, click "Under Execution" and you will see two options: "Complete Procedure" or "Abandon Procedure".

  1. The procedure will then turn grey to indicate it has been abandoned and is no longer to be executed. By default, it will not appear in the list of procedures, but you can always locate it by filtering for "Abandoned".
