Execution View Release Notes 1.4
Release 1.4
We are excited to present a set of release notes that outline the latest enhancements and bug fixes implemented within Execution View. Our commitment to improving your user experience is at the forefront of these updates. From new features that streamline your workflow to critical bug fixes that enhance the platform's reliability, these release notes offer an insightful overview of what's new and improved.
Support display of free text units from third party systems
We introduce support for displaying free text units received from third party systems on Input and Report Parameters. This improvement streamlines data representation and provides more accurate information for users, meaning that whatever value was added on the operator side, will be visible in the Execution View.
Unit design update
Field update under Input parameters. We are now displaying Target value and Minimum and Maximum Value in separate data fields.
Step Design Updates
We introduce a significant update to our step design, aimed at providing users with a more intuitive and streamlined experience. These changes enhance data organization, accessibility, and responsiveness, making it easier than ever to work within steps.
- Clearly Defined Data Fields: We've reimagined the layout of data fields within a step. Now, they are neatly separated into two columns, one on the left and one on the right. This division enhances visual clarity and makes it easier to locate specific information.
- **Expanded Data Fields by Default: **When you open a step, all data fields will automatically expand, giving you immediate access to the data you need without extra clicks. This improves efficiency in your workflow.
- Data Field Header with Data Count: Each data field now comes with a header that displays the data count within it. This helps you quickly assess the amount of information in a field, aiding in data management and decision-making.
- Collapsible Data Fields: For greater flexibility, we've added the option to collapse all data fields. This feature is particularly handy when you want to focus on specific aspects of a step or minimize visual clutter.
- **Content-Based Visibility: **To simplify your view during execution, only data fields with actual content will be visible. This reduces confusion and ensures that you see what's relevant, eliminating unnecessary clutter.
- **Responsive Design for Smaller Devices: **Our step design has been optimized to be fully responsive, catering to smaller devices such as tablets and smartphones. You can now access and interact with your steps seamlessly, regardless of your screen size.
These design updates are geared towards improving the overall usability and efficiency of working within steps. We believe they will greatly enhance your experience when using our platform.
Refreshed Styling for Non-Started Activities, Steps, and Procedures
Here is a visual refresh that enhances the clarity and distinction of non-started activities, steps, and procedures in both light and dark modes. This update brings a refined border styling for improved visibility and aesthetics.
What's New:
Light Mode:
- Activities/Steps: Non-started activities and steps now feature a subtle outlined border in HEX #C4C4C4. This gentle contrast distinguishes them from other elements and provides a cleaner, more organized appearance.
- Procedures (Side Menu): In the side menu, non-started procedures also adopt the outlined border in HEX #C4C4C4. This consistent styling ensures a cohesive and harmonious design.
Dark Mode:
- Activities/Steps: To maintain visual balance in dark mode, non-started activities and steps sport an outlined border in HEX #596472. This darker stroke enhances visibility while preserving the overall aesthetic.
- **Procedures (Side Menu): **In the dark mode side menu, non-started procedures follow suit with the outlined border in HEX #596472, ensuring a unified and easy-to-navigate user interface.
This border refresh improves the visual hierarchy of your activities, steps, and procedures, making it easier to identify which items have not yet been initiated.
Bug Fixes and Improvements for Enhanced User Experience
We are delighted to announce several bug fixes and enhancements that aim to improve the overall user experience on our platform. These fixes resolve issues related to unit data, table headers, 404 error pages, comment visibility, depth changes, and procedure time calculation.
What's Fixed:
Undefined Unit Data: Resolved an issue where opening plans without assigned units triggered an error message. Plans will now open without error in such cases.
Table Header Boldness: Fixed a design inconsistency where some components had non-bold headers. All table headers now conform to the design with bold styling.
**404 Error Pages After User Actions: **Addressed instances where users encountered 404 error pages after skipping, completing checks, or saving empty report parameters. These errors have been eliminated for a smoother user experience.
**Comment Visibility Improvement: **Improved the comment display in execution view. Now, when users add comments to activities, the expanded list of comments correctly identifies the activity to which the comment was added, making it easier to track and manage comments.
Depth Change After Finalizing Procedure: Fixed an issue where users couldn't change the depth of an activity in the Execution view after finalizing a procedure. You can now adjust activity depth as needed.
**404 Error Page on Check Completion: **Addressed situations where users encountered a 404 error page after completing checks. This issue has been resolved to ensure a seamless workflow.
Total Procedure Time Calculation: Corrected the calculation of total procedure time. It now accurately considers 0 Actual Time or Abandoned Time instead of Activity DSV time.
These bug fixes and improvements are designed to enhance the overall user experience, making your interaction with the platform smoother and more intuitive.
